Both these samples were recorded directly into Protools with just a pinch of reverb and no EQ.  I used my old Yamaha Fretless.
Here's a funky envelope filter that I made.  Its based on the legendary "Mutron III" and I got the circuit and layout from the equally legendary GEOFEX site.  I spent quite some time tweaking and modifying the original circuit - especially those LED/LDR's, plus I managed to squeeze the whole thing into this tiny box...

The pedal has true-bypass with led status indicator, a much finer gain adjustment than the original, master volume control, and a chip that supplies +/- 9V from a single battery. (Which means you can use a regular 9V power supply.)

The effect sounds great and has stayed on my pedalboard since its construction.
